Community of Greater Sudbury

Greater Sudbury is a safe, friendly community set in the Canadian Shield. It has more than 300

lakes, including Ramsey Lake which is in the heart of the city and close to campus.

The city is located within traditional Ojibwa lands and surrounded by many First Nation communities including Whitefish Lake and Wahnapitae First Nations. Sudbury is multicultural and multilingual counting Italian, Finnish, Polish, Chinese, Ukrainian and Croatian people among its 160,000 residents. Sudbury has the third-largest francophone population in Canada outside of Quebec.

Air Canada offers daily flights between Sudbury and Toronto, and Bearskin Airlines offers flights to Ottawa and other cities in Ontario. Via Rail, Ontario Northland and Greyhound bus services are also available for most Canadian destinations.

Sudbury combines urban amenities, accessible outdoor recreation and a friendly atmosphere. It has small-town flavour with big-city appeal, making it a great city in which to live and study.
