Laurentian International has a strong and dedicated commitment to internationalising the Laurentian experience for its students. Laurentian International aims to provide an opportunity for students from many countries to live and study together in our unique Laurentian community. We act as an international education resource for faculty, staff and students in the areas of inter-cultural communications, admissions and mobility.

What is Laurentian International and what do we do?

The department of Laurentian International can be divided into the following key areas: Internationalisation, English for Academic Preparation (EAP), Recruitment, Admissions, Mobility Programs and International Student Services.  Under the supervision of the Director, each of these areas has various roles and responsibilities, with the common goal of promoting international education.  By bringing foreign students to Laurentian University and helping to make their transition to living and studying in Canada as easy as possible, we strive to ensure that, in the end, their overall experience has been a valuable and positive one.

We provide service, support and information to:

  • International students who are interested in studying at Laurentian;
  • Laurentian students who want to participate in an exchange program or work or volunteer abroad;
  • Alumni with international backgrounds, interests and perspectives,
  • Faculty and staff who are engaged in building international resources and opportunities for Laurentian University.
